Today the Arts Council have been busy developing and refining our survey. The children would love to find out what the children of Park Street think about the arts at our school. What is going brilliantly and is there anything we could improve. We will also be meeting first week back to plan our Christmas Art comp - watch this space!

Wow! All the children in the Arts Council were totally blown away with the number of entries we received for our Autumn Poetry competition. We spent a long time today reading all you poems and looking at the fantastic art work and illustrations too. We now have 5 entries that received full marks after we judged them. We are going to ask Mrs Lawson to choose the final three. The standard has been really high. We have designed certificates and every pupil that has entered will get one. There may be a little treat for everyone too. The three winners will receive arty goody bags and get to read their poems out at our Harvest Festival next week. Well done everyone who entered.
The arts council have been busy this half term. We have been designing questionnaires to find out what the children of Park Street think to the arts at our school. We want to find out all about the different arts you have had a go at, what you enjoy and how you think it could be improved. We would also love all the children in KS2 to remember to get their autumn poem entries in by Friday 14th October. We will be judging in the afternoon. The three winning entries will get a prize and the chance to read their poem at the harvest festival.
Congratulations to all the children newly elected to the Arts Council this year. We have met for the first time and will be popping into assembly very soon to share with everyone our plans. We are currently working on some arty ideas to celebrate the amazing life of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II following the sad news of her death.
