Our brand new poem is called "A Little Seed." It has been a bit of a challenge to learn this poem along with the actions but we have all persevered and here we are performing it! We hope you enjoy it!

Today we have had so much fun on Welly Walk! We have been learning the importance of teamwork and will be practising this over the next few weeks on Welly Walk. Today we chose a group of children that we would like to work with. We talked about what we thought made good teamwork, and how we need to listen to other children's ideas before deciding as a group how we can construct a den. We know that our idea is not always the best idea, and today we practised sharing ideas and giving other children's ideas a try. We also know that teamwork helps to keep us safe, especially when moving equipment.
We really impressed the adults in Team CW with our listening skills, and each group constructed a den and built a campfire. Before we started we walked around with our team and chose a sensible place to construct it. When we decided where we talked to our friends and listened to their ideas about how we could attach it and make it high enough. We walked around and looked at each other's dens and decided what we really liked about them. We talked about how we could improve our den next week, some groups needed to stretch their sheet out more, some needed to find a wider gap between trees and some needed to fix it higher up so they could fit in it. Some groups are going to focus on building sides on their den next week. We can't wait to practise and develop our team work skills further! Here are some photos of us working hard and demonstrating our teamwork skills! |
