It's that time of year again Park Street, our annual Times Table Race Challenge.
For the next three weeks, you will be given a tables race to complete in school and also a race to complete every evening/night. We would like you to try your best to answer as many times table questions as possible in the 10 minutes you are given. Each day, try to set yourself a new achievable target to work towards. Good Luck Park Street!

During our inset day, staff have been working hard to deepen their own knowledge of our Maths Mastery Curriculum.
We have focussed on: What the approach means and should look like Vocabulary Working walls Planning and assessment Resources We are all looking forward to further embedding our approach to teaching and learning and ensuring that our children become fantastic mathematicians. Dear Parents and Carers, We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in their Number Day on Friday 7th May 2021. Children deserve an equal start in life The NSPCC believes that all children deserve a childhood free from harm but, sadly, that is not the case for many children. That is why the NSPCC is fighting for every childhood and working to help keep children safe from abuse. The NSPCC needs our support. By raising money, we can help to fund their vital services such as Childline – the helpline that’s always there for children and young people whatever their problem or concern, and the NSPCC Speak out Stay Safe Programme which aims to equip a generation of children with the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect through delivery of assemblies and workshops in schools. Making maths meaningful Number Day is a great way to make maths fun and bring about a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude towards it. We are planning to have a variety of mathematical madness going on throughout the day!
We’re looking forward to all the fun of Number Day, and we really appreciate your support. All the money we raise at Park Street will make an enormous difference to children today and help change the lives of children tomorrow. You can find out more about the NSPCC’s work at nspcc.org.uk Many thanks for your continued support, Mr A Fidment, Miss L Garratt and Miss G Grayhurst ![]()
