Next week in school we will be celebrating Anti Bullying Week. The theme this year is 'United Against Bullying'. We will be celebrating the start of the week with an 'Odd Sock Day' on Monday 16th November 2020! Children and staff will be invited in to wear 'odd socks'. Throughout the week we will be doing lots of work on anti-bullying - why it is essential we have a zero tolerance in school towards bullying. Have fun Park Street!

Many thanks to parents and children for their contributions towards our Halloween Hamper competition. The hamper was won by a Year 3 child and made £215 for school funds! Well done TEAM!
We are sad that with immediate effect we are having to close our Team GG bubble due to a positive test result amongst our school community. Remote learning for Team GG will begin tomorrow for the rest of the next two weeks. Stay safe everyone and have fun learning at home! Our love and best wishes go to the family affected and we wish them a speedy recovery.

We have a celebrity in the school! Some of you will know that Mrs Crossfield is a very talented singer. She has recorded this song for us all this morning. Hope it brings a smile to your face as much as it did ours! ![]()
Hi Park Street,
As we come to the end of another week I thought I would send you a message to say that I hope you are all well and taking care. I hope you are keeping yourselves busy with home learning, helping your parents out around the house but also taking some time for yourselves. Remember that in a time like this you need to make sure you are doing a balance of activities to keep your minds healthy. Your health and well-being is the most important thing. Some of you may have realised that the Park Street teachers have been posting lots and lots of activities on your class pages and may have found it quite difficult to keep up with all the work. That's okay! We would not expect you to get through everything that has been posted. However, we did want to make sure there was plenty on there and a range of subject areas for you to have a look at. My advice would be to try and have a go at a Maths and Literacy activity each day and then something that covers one or two other areas of the curriculum - just like you would do in school. As of Monday, there will be less blogging on the website as daily activities will be posted on Seesaw instead. This should be a lot more manageable for yourselves and it will help you to understand what we would like you to achieve on a daily basis. Of course, you are more than welcome to come back to your class blog if you would like to do some other activities that have been posted over the last couple of weeks but the tasks we would like you to complete each day will be posted on Seesaw. I hope this helps! Remember that tomorrow is Saturday and the start of the weekend so please take a break from school work, have some time to yourselves and spend some with your family. Family is the most important thing right now so please make the most of having your parents/carers/siblings around and do something fun together. Park Street, I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am missing you all very much and I am looking forward to seeing you all soon. Thank you to all those who have kept in touch via the school email/twitter, it's been lovely to hear from you and has put a smile on my face. Take care of yourselves and family and stay safe. Thinking of you all and sending lots of love, Mrs Lawson A huge well done to one of our parents and school Governors for today’s achievements at Wombwell Library! Sabeena Chavan (alongside Amanda Bradshaw) organised a fun and creative morning for Wombwell children and families. It was thoroughly enjoying and amazing to see so many people attending the event! The children loved the creative arts on offer and also the fun Phonics activities to support the children’s learning in the holiday times. In total there were 29 adults and 46 children in attendance...a HUGE turnout and one which I am very proud and pleased with. Mrs Chavan’s vision really came true for the children of Wombwell...something fun for our children to do! Thank you to Sabeena Chavan, Amanda Bradshaw, the Wombwell Ward Alliance for making this possible and for the families of Wombwell for attending and having fun together!
We are celebrating 'Silly Sock Friday' on 5.4.19 to help our school community to raise awareness of ASD. We have a substantial number of children through school with ASD and we embrace their differences and uniqueness - we are so proud of all of our school community. Please support the school in raising awareness and celebrate everyone, TEAM Park Street!
What an amazing evening we had at Park Street tonight! Easter Disco! We handed out lots of chocolate rewards for the best dancer, the best face puller and the best musical statue! Lots of money has been raised and it will all go back to the children in the form of books! Well done Park Street, us adults had such a fun time! Thank you, it is a pleasure spending time with you!
We are currently working hard to overhaul all of our reading books in school and place a new order to get lots more new books in to Park Street! So we can successfully audit what we already have, please could parents take a look at home and send any Park Street books back in to school - quite often they can get left at home or put on your book shelves. If you could return any books ASAP, which are currently unused, that would be great!
