Team CH have taken some mindfulness time to think about all our wonderful learning. It was amazing to hear conversations about Paul Klee, Autumn and the weather; as the children moved from one activity to another.This week in RWI we have continued to focus on being able to read words containing special friends, ay, igh, ee, oo (Poo at the zoo), oo (look at a book) and ow speedily and accurately.This week Team CH have continued our learning of Christianity by retelling the story of "Noah's Ark". We enjoyed talking about the events that took place and questioning the choice God made when he sent the great flood. We talked about words such as "Noah, Ark, God, Bible and Old Testament"
This week in Team CH, we have been exploring Autumn and what reminds us of Autumn. We have taken inspiration from Paul Klee to create some amazing artwork.This week Team CH have been introduced to Purple Mash. We really enjoyed using the laptops for the first time! It was very difficult for us to log on, but once we were on we loved creating our avatar.Team CH have been working hard to form numbers correctly and explain why a number is the number it is. In addition to this we have introduced the word 'digit' and children have explored making the greatest two digit number they can using the 3 digits they were given.This week in Science, team CH have been observing the changes in the weather. We talked about what time of day it was; what the weather was doing and what we think it will do later. We noticed that some clouds were white and smooth at the bottom and some clouds were dark bumpy at the bottom.This week we have hit out attendance target with an amazing 99.1% out of a possible 100%. Well done Team CH, I am so proud; lets keep it up! We've also won £5!This week in music we have been exploring the word Pitch, by listening and appraising the song 'Fresh Prince Of Bel Air' by Will Smith . We have also been practising our song of "Hey you!" by Joanna Mangona. This week we highlighted that all the songs we have appraised are a type of music called 'old rap'. |
