This week in maths, Team CH have moved away from using counters and straws and started to use cubes and base ten to represent ten ones. In order to deepen our understanding of how ten ones are the same as one ten we linked our manipulatives together. We have also been practising writing larger numbers and reinforcing the understanding that tens are written first most of the time.
