Today Team CH have been exploring ways to partition six, seven, eight and nine into two parts. Moving on from the ‘five and a bit’ structure. First we used cubes to partition numbers six to nine in alternative ways and shared how we had partitioned these whole numbers. Next, once we could all confidently partition a number using cubes we looked at writing the whole and two parts from a picture.
