Today we have been exploring way of finding the missing part. We have been using snowballs to find the whole number and a random number generator to give us one part. Next, we used TTYP to discuss what the missing part is. We could all find the missing part and say a number sentence that accurately represented the part-part whole model that we made.

Following on our talk about the word wellbeing, we discovered our super power. This awesome power can be used anywhere and instantly fills us with excitement, happiness and joy. We are all smilers! Like all super hero's, we need a mask!Today in year one we have been adding more to a number. We began our learning by telling number stories and using our counters to represent the characters or objects. We are confident at using the addition and equal to symbol in our number sentences.Today we have been exploring different ways to add two amounts together. We worked step by step to complete our learning, using counters, ten frames and our boards to draw a part-part whole model. We are confident at adding two numbers together when using concrete resources.Today we have been talking about wellbeing and what that means to us. We have drawn pictures of things that support our wellbeing and make us feel happy, comfortable and healthy. In Team CH we are finding our spellings a little difficult at the moment, we are practising every morning but anything we can do at home would greatly help us.
This morning Team CH have been doing some mindful colouring. we listened to some peaceful music, closed our eyes and took our pencils for a walk. Next, we coloured our swirls and loops in colours that reflected our moods.During PE we have been mastering basic movement such as, running, jumping, throwing and catching. We've done this through a range of activities but our favourite has been dodgeball! |
