David Walliams is a much loved author amongst our class and from our ten minute reads in class this year, I know you love the humour within his books and unique way in which he tells his stories. With this in mind, why not check out his wesbite where you can access Elevenses. This will give you the chance to listen to some of his funniest stories from home.
Should you want to take a listen, why not catch on this week's audio clips using the link below. https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses-catch-up/

Over the coming days some of you may have been directed to the class blog to access the Poem Presentation to support your Literacy work. All you need is attached. Simply click the file below to get started. Once again, we find ourselves approaching another half term holiday. Sadly, the last half term has been anything other than our usual start to the Summer terms, but that said, I could not be more proud of each and every member of TEAM CB! Every child has worked hard to adjust to learning from home and this truly makes me burst with pride! I look forward to the day when we can all welcome back normality.
I truly hope that you all have a very well deserved half term holiday, where you can rest and relax with family and enjoy what will hopefully be some lovely sunshine! Stay safe and keep smiling, Miss Baxter :) Hi CB, Miss Garratt and Mr Fidment wanted to let you all know about a new Guinness World Record title - 'Highest score achieved on 'Time Tables Rock Stars' in one minute'. We know you love playing on Times Tables Rock Stars and what better way to get practicing your times tables by knowing YOU could become a Guinness World Record title holder. We think this is a fantastic incentive and would like to invite you all to take part. The letter attached explains how to participate and gives you the deadline for the event. For further information, you can also visit https://ttrockstars.com/page/gwr Good luck each and every one of you who decide to enter.
Last week, your parents/carers should have received an email in relation to a PE festival taking place next week. The 'Joy of Moving Home School Festival' is aimed at Key Stage 2 children, and consists of fun activities based on the theme of active healthy lifestyles. It would be fantastic to have as many of you as possible participating in the events! Should you choose to get involved the resource book is attached. It would be lovely to see what you have been up to so please email school or ask your parents to tweet us with some pictures of you getting involved. Take care, Miss Baxter
In light of the bank holiday (Friday 8th May 2020), we have decided as a school to take a break from the usual curriculum areas that you will have worked on this week. Instead, we have decided to set some activities linked to VE Day that you could do as a family. It IS NOT an expectation for you to do these but they are there should you choose to do something to celebrate this day. You will see some activities posted on Seesaw and may also find some extras on your class blog page. Happy VE Day Park Street. Take care and enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Love from the staff at Park Street.

With many children having been home schooled for over a month now, we are aware that Internet Safety may not be at the forefront of their minds. Therefore, Shooting Stars Entertainment have created an Internet Safety Video, specifically for Primary aged children, which they are giving to us, completely free! Please see below for some resources to support children with SEND during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With schools closed and tens of millions of students at home, Code.org have launched Code Break — a live, weekly interactive classroom where their team will teach your children at home while school is closed, and a weekly challenge to engage students of all abilities, even those without computers.
