After working hard over the past two weeks to ensure that we have our investigation planned effectively, today we have conducted our experiment to find out 'which materials are best to prevent sound from being heard?' To find the answer to our investigation question, we wrapped an egg shaker in various materials (tin foil, fabric, card, paper, cling film and tissue) and recorded the amount of sound that could be heard. We concluded that the best material for preventing sound was paper.

Maths
This week, we have completed the second week of our tables races and WOW! I cannot believe how much our team's scores and times have improved since we first started. We have also continued our topic of place value and have used plenty of resources to support our understanding. Literacy We are well on our way with developing the skills we need to write our ghost story. I am feeling the tension and suspense just by listening to the ideas flying around the classroom. To ensure we have all of the features a ghost story needs, we have been learning about fronted adverbials, suspense and tension and the use of speech. |
