This week Team CH had a special Visitor. Team CH have continued their learning of animals including humans by meeting some birds of prey. We loved being so close to these brilliant animals and we had so many questions to ask! Team CH learned all about the features of a bird of prey, such as their talons and how some birds, such as Owls have evolved to fly silently through thick woods in order to catch their prey. Additionally, children were able to watch a bird of prey fly outside and observe how this bird would attempt to catch its pray in the wild. Thank you, Miss Fury, for arranging such a brilliant day.
This week Team CH had the most amazing time at the National Emergency Museum. We have learned so much about the great fire of London and really enjoyed travilling through history. Thank you to our special people for making this visit possible!
This Week Team CH were asked, what is more important winning or being a good friend? We eventually agreed that although winning a world cup would be brilliant, it wouldn’t be enjoyable if we didn’t have good friends to share the moment with.
We started by talking to our peers about what a friend is, providing children with an opportunity to develop their oracy skills. After this, we moved on to identifying images of a good friend and explaining why. Finally, we created a good friend collage. |
