Can't believe we're more than half way through January already. It was lovely to welcome the children back and listen to what they had done over the Christmas period. We are now back in full swing and already well into learning with our new Geography topic about rivers and mountains. We've thought about what we would like to find out about this topic and started to look at the importance of the water cycle when learning about rivers and mountains. Our literacy work has started with the book 'Ratty's Big Adventure' where we have started to write a recount of what Ratty did on his adventures when he ventured out of his volcano in Papua New Guinea.
In maths we have started to look at grouping linked to multiplication and division using practical activities as well as written representations. In RE we have been learning about 'How can faith contribute to community cohesion' and what it means to belong. We found out how important Shabbat is to Jewish families and what they do at this time of the week.
