What a busy week its been in Team AC! Here's a round up of some of the things we have been doing. Maths - addition and subtraction by rounding up or down to the nearest 10. As well as our weekly times table practise - this week focusing on 2x table. Literacy - Autumn List Poems - we had fun looking for signs of Autumn in the school grounds before returning to the classroom to write our ideas using nouns, adjectives and verbs. We then started to list our ideas as a poem. Keep a look out for our completed poems! We've also taken time to work on our oracy by presenting our work to to others and sharing books and poems.
History - we've been learning about the three different periods in the Stone Age with new vocabulary to learn - Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic. We looked at how life changed during this time and answered questions about why these changes occurred. Computing - in computing we have learnt about digital devices and compared different digital devices looking at what they can do for example; take pictures, create sounds, send messages etc. We looked at input and output and what these words mean - creating our own human input/output machine. Art - In art over the past few weeks we have thought carefully about the basics of art and what the words 'shade, line, tone, colour' mean. We have investigated this through a series of self portraits. RE - In RE we have looked at Judaism - what it means to be Jewish. We looked a special words focusing on the Torah Scroll and why it is important to Jewish people. PSHE - we have reminded ourselves about what 'feelings' are and why they are important. We have looked at what we can do to change negative feelings into positive ones and how what we say and do can effect others feelings. |
