Cheerleading routines are continuing and getting better each week, here are a few groups showing their routines!

This week children at Park Street got to take part in archery with Mr wall from Active Club. Each class has an hour session, in this time the children got time to practice, after listening to some health and safety rules and how to hold, load and aim the bow and arrow. There were some natural archers in our class, lots of 8's, 9's and 10's happening! After they had all got the hang of it, we played some games, a very interesting monopoly archery game, where you could move the number of spaces that you hit on the board, and collet as many cones as you can. The children loved this game. Another game was to: in your team hit the numbers in order to move up the skyscraper. Even though all the teams got competitive, they were also really supportive of each other and cheered for the winning teams so well done Team AC! All in all they had a great afternoon, hopefully they told you all about it! In art this week we have been looking at plants and flowers to see patterns. We have been doing observational drawing and Team AC did some excellent drawings, with amazing attention to details. We were blown away. Over time we will be looking at patterns in fruit and then using a pattern design to make a print and then making a repeating pattern.
This week has been a little different for children around school, with year 6 SAT's happening, so there were many changes to deal with, changes to rooms, assemblies, P.E etc but we'd like to say a big thank you for being very understanding and supportive and quiet around school to give year 6 children the best environment to succeed! Well done Team AC!!

Two children learnt this very quickly and took to the classes in the afternoon to play for everyone! Absolutely fabulous when they had only had such a short time to learn. Here are videos of our budding musicians Alexander and Harrison.
MR - My favourite lesson is Literacy because we write and I love to write them even for fun in my own time.
I like art, I like to be creative, I like all types of art that we do, painting, drawing, textiles, clay and much more. I don't really like handwriting so much, it's a bit repetitive and I get bored. I love to play outside with my friends and playtimes. My favourite Teachers/TA's are Mrs Crossfield, Mrs Jones, Miss Fury and Mrs Clarke. AS - I Like science the best because its exciting, fun and there are so many possibilities to do. I've liked learning about rocks and soils the most so far. I like geography because you explore the world, different countries and continents. My least favourite lesson is Maths, even though I'm good at it. My favourite staff are the dinner staff that serve dinners they are always kind to me. |
